Ethical code

This Code of Ethics has the purpose of formalizing the commitment of BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL with Human, Childhood and Labor Rights as well as with respect for the environment and ethical business practice, in all its activities and commercial relationships. All this according to:

  • Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child
  • ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
  • Rio Declaration on Environment and Development
  • United Nations principles against bribery, corruption, undue influence and conflicts of interest contained in the United Nations Global Compact and in the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Commercial, labor, environmental and consumer protection legislation of the European Union
  • Spanish commercial, labor, environmental and consumer protection legislation.
  • Environmental and consumer protection legislation of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.

This Code of Ethics will apply to all personnel working under the control of the company, regardless of their activity and impacts. Since BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONALEvery effort will be made to ensure that all collaborators are in line with the values and culture of the company.

Fundamentals

BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL strives to prevent its own activities from producing, or contributing to, negative human, child or labor rights consequences, inappropriate environmental impacts, or inappropriate behavior associated with bribery, corruption, undue influence, or conflicts of interest; dealing with those consequences should they occur. Likewise, the company is determined to protect and respect the protection of internationally recognized Human, Childhood and Labor Rights, according to its ability to influence, respect and protection of the environment in its operations and its supply chain and the prevention of unethical behavior in business, their own, their collaborators or their supply chain. ensuring compliance with national and international legislation and agreements and promoting the implementation of good practices in the areas of Human, Children's and Labor Rights, environmental protection and business ethics.

  • Ensure the satisfaction of the expectations of those who work under the control of BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL regarding Human and Labor Rights, reflecting the company's commitment to protect and respect its Human and Labor Rights.
  • Respect the privacy and intimacy of all the people and organizations with whom we interact, ensuring the proper use of personal data and information obtained.
  • Respect and promote, within its sphere of influence, the right to freedom of opinion, information and expression, promoting respect for the diversity of opinions in the company and dialogue with our stakeholders.
  • Ensure fair and favorable working conditions, establishing remuneration based on the principle of fair remuneration for work, ensuring equal remuneration for equal work between women and men and in recruitment, access to employment, promotion and training. Likewise, the right to rest and free time is guaranteed.
  • Reject forced or compulsory labour, and especially child labour, respecting and promoting the rights of children in the areas where it operates and encouraging all its collaborators to do so.
  • Guarantee a safe and healthy work environment for the people who work under its control, through the adoption of procedures and standards in terms of safety and health at work and prevention of occupational risks in accordance with the risks identified.
  • Respect the internationally recognized right to collective bargaining.
  • Provide equal opportunities in access to work and professional promotion, without discrimination based on sex, age, race, sexual orientation, religion, origin, marital status or social condition. The company will guarantee a work environment free from harassment, abuse or intimidation.
  • Guarantee compliance with international principles and local legislation for the protection of the environment in its operations and in its supply chain, ensuring the absence of inappropriate environmental damage in its own production processes or in its supply chain.
  • BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL expressly rejects unethical business practices. In particular, it prohibits those who work under its control from participating in bribery, corruption of public officials, corruption between individuals, undue influence or activities with a conflict of interest, which will be prosecuted as permitted by law.
  • Require its collaborators and suppliers to make a firm commitment to prevent its staff and supply chain from participating in bribery, corruption of public officials, corruption between individuals, undue influence or activities with conflict of interest, even when any of these practices could be local or culturally acceptable.
  • Encourage our suppliers to comply with the provisions of this Code of Ethics, Human, Childhood and Labor Rights, environmental protection and internationally recognized business ethics.

In order to fulfill these commitments, BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL establishes the following measures:

  • Assignment of roles and responsibilities related to guaranteeing compliance with this Code of Ethics and monitoring our performance in this regard.
  • The Management leads the commitment of the organization and supports all the principles and requirements of this Code of Ethics, ensuring that they are taken into account at all levels.
  • The Management, in its commitment to the protection of all people who work under the control of the company, ensures that the necessary resources are available to comply with this Code of Ethics.
  • All the staff of BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL You must assume your responsibilities and obligations in relation to respecting this Code of Ethics.
  • All collaborators of BENCH WORKS INTERNATIONAL They must comply with the commitments of this Code of Ethics, while ensuring that their collaborators are in line with our values and culture.
